Why Do I Need To Complete The Health, Safety & Awareness Course?
Since the Construction Site Operative (CSO) card was replaced in 2014, completing a Level 1 Health & Safety qualification has become a mandatory requirement for obtaining a CSCS Green Labourer Card. The qualification ensures that all workers entering construction sites have a basic understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
Can I Retake The Course If I Fail?
Yes. If you do not pass, you can resit individual modules up to three times, giving you multiple opportunities to successfully complete the course and gain your qualification.
Important Information About The Course?
The Health, Safety & Awareness Course is a fully accredited qualification that leads to the Level 1 Award in Health & Safety in a Construction Environment. Successfully completing this qualification is an essential step towards applying for your CSCS Green Labourer Card.
Please read the following important information before enrolling:
- A unique email address is required to create your course account
- You must use a computer or laptop with a webcam, microphone, speakers, and Google Chrome browser
- Safari browser and Chromebooks are not compatible with the course platform
- You will need valid photo ID for the online exam, such as a passport, driving licence, or work-related ID card with your full name and photograph
- The final exam can only be taken after completing all course modules
- You must complete the exam registration process before sitting the assessment
- Missed or failed exams may incur a rebooking fee of up to £60
- The course does not include the CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test or the CSCS Card application, which must be booked separately
- Certificates are usually issued within 7–10 working days after successfully completing the final assessment
- The course and exam are available in English only
- Course access is non-transferable between candidates
- All bookings are non-refundable
